Morgana Systems to launch new folder technology at Ipex

Finishing equipment manufacturer Morgana Systems will launch a 'next-generation' folder at this year's Ipex, as well as a range of creasers.

The Morgana AutoFold Pro is able to work alongside any creaser, not just machines from the Morgana range. According to the manufacturer, it is aimed at digital printers that cannot justify buying an integrated folder/creaser.

A free-standing unit, the AutoFold Pro features a vacuum feed conveyor that can be adjusted to the height of the creaser.

Morgana's managing director Quen Baum said: "In essence, the AutoFold provides a highly efficient creasing and folding station."

The folder, which has a list price of £11,990, can handle sheet sizes to 600x385mm, with a standard conveyor, and 900x385mm, with an optional extended conveyor, while operating at up to 6,500 sheets per hour when folding an A4 sheet in half.

In addition, Morgana will use the Birmingham event to show its new range of AutoCreasers, featuring the Morgana blade and matrix creasing system, as well as the ‘PosiFeed’ feeding system, enabling the feeder to be piled higher while maintaining consistency and eliminating mis-feeds.
