Renz to launch three machines at Ipex

Finishing equipment supplier Renz will launch three machines at this year's Ipex.

The DSP 360 FA, AP 360 Block to Block and DBW / KL 500 will all be on the company's stand in Birmingham.

According to Renz, the machines are aimed at addressing new pressures on printers such as the print-on-demand market and calls for increased automation.

The DSP 360 FA fully automatic modular desktop high speed punch has an output of up to 40,000 punched sheets per hour. It can handle mixed stock including tabs, and polyprop covers and also features modular die insertion.

Renz's AP 360 Block to Block punching system is a floor-standing machine and allows for less product handling and full automation of punching and binding, the company said.

The DBW / KL 500 automatic cover turner will be linked to an AB 500 HS and ABL 500. It flips the back cover after the binding process and spins every second book 180 degrees for easy stacking.

Managing director Iain Bullock said: "Ipex this time round is one of the most important UK shows in the last 20 years, both in terms of the digital and associated technologies race but also (and even more importantly) in terms of deciding future business strategy."
