Key Print looks at potential acquisition and growth of Kent base

Key Print has said it is looking at potential acquisitions as it starts the first stage of an expansion strategy to add services and capacity to its Kent base.

The print and mailing company will also start to target clients in the finance market that produce mailing packs with multiple pages of personalised items up to a C4 size.

Simon Cole, sales director of the £2.1m turnover business, said: "With our strong strategic alliance with litho printer Plus 5 Print Solutions, which is based in the same premise, we offer a complete one-stop-shop service to the majority of our existing client base."

In the last 12 months, Key Print has invested £400,000 in a new Astrajet 3800 inkjet press, colour digital personalisation with a Konica Bizhub PRO C6500e, and a Bhurs enclosing system.

Both companies have also recently become FSC accredited and have now set their sights on becoming ISO 14001 accredited.

Cole said: "Part of our ongoing strategy is to look at suitable acquisition opportunities during 2009.

"This will further add to our service offerings and allow the business to continue to grow with the aim of taking our place as one of the leading print and direct mail houses in the south east."

The two companies consist of 14 staff between them and can offer litho and digital printing, bespoke data programming, data processing, personalisation and enclosing.
