KBA celebrates 100th order for Rapida 106 press with DriveTronic SPC

KBA has secured the 100th sale of its Rapida 106 B1 press with DriveTronic simultaneous plate changing (SPC) in three years after Belgian playing-card printer Cartamundi placed an order for the machine.

The press, which will be delivered in March next year, features DriveTronic SPC dedicated plate-cylinder drives for simultaneous plate changing.

According to KBA, more than half of the medium-format KBA Rapida presses currently installed are specified in eight- or ten-colour perfector configuration.

In addition, the manufacturer's DriveTronic SPC drive, which was launched in 2007, is also fitted on KBA's shorter four- and five-colour presses found in commercial and packaging environments.
