IIJ to launch new printheads at Drupa

Industrial Inkjet (IIJ) will unveil two world premieres at Drupa.

The company is the sales wing for Konica Minolta’s inkjet heads and is exhibiting on KM’s stand in Hall 8b. IIJ will show the latest applications for the new i-series heads, which operate at three times the speed of the firm’s standard models.

The Colourprint 142i receives its worldwide launch. IIJ managing director John Corrall said applications for the unit, which can print at up to 75m/min, include direct product decoration: "We’re doing an awful lot of that, and also security printing using specialist inks from Luminescence. We’ve taken the trouble to get these security inks going on it."

Also new is the XYPrint 200, which comes with an A4-size vacuum chuck. This boasts high accuracy with a repeatability of one micron.  "It’s ideal for people looking to design inkjet into their processes, using inkjet as a manufacturing tool," Corrall added.
