According to the Leicester-based group, the new machines operate 50% faster than its previous Delphax 1200 printers.
The toner-based models will run with inline finishing and help cut turnaround times within its transactional and direct mail operation.
Robin Carruthers, GI Direct manufacturing director said: "As the machines are toner based, they are able to personalise on to any substrate from uncoated material to gloss and over areas of 100% solid ink.
"This gives our customers a huge choice when they are creating their mailing. The new machines will give GI Direct 95% up time reducing waste and improving efficiencies."
Steve Hubbard, general manager of European operations at Delphax, added :"The CR Series is industrially designed for the handling and production of high-volume personalised output and in turn satisfies GI Direct’s requirements for delivering a high-quality product in as short a time as possible."
GI Direct is part of the GI Solutions Group that employs 185 staff and had a turnover of £23.7m in 2010.
