Exhibitor demand leads to expansion for Fespa Eurasia

Floor space for Fespa Eurasia has been increased by a third to 21,000sqm following demand from new exhibitors and existing exhibitors requesting additional stand space.

"In my 17 years in exhibitions, I have never seen such an overwhelming response to a launch event," said Fespa managing director Neil Felton.

As a result of the additional space requirement the show has had to be moved to larger halls at CNR Expo, Istanbul, Turkey for the event, which runs from the 3-5 October 2013.

"The challenge in moving halls in making sure that we keep all our exhibitors happy," said Felton.

He added that the event was proving popular with exhibitors as it was targeting the Eurasian region and not just the domestic Turkish market, which had ensured a number of global suppliers were supporting the event, rather than leaving it to their Turkish dealers.

In addition to Turkey visitors are being targeted from Central and Eastern Europe including Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Kazakhstan, Russia, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

"Turkey sees itself as a regional hub, and in the main the shows there at the moment are local rather than regional," said Felton. "Fespa will be more international and will have more content."

The firm has recruited two staff at its Turkish office with Russian and Arabic in addition to Turkish and English to build its database in the region.
