EBB launches Maine Gloss, Chromomat and Satimat Silk with 15% recycled fibre

Paper merchant Elliott Baxter (EBB) has launched Maine Gloss, Chromomat and SatiMat Silk with 15% recycled fibre.

The grades are part of the MCS coated paper range, and the recycled fibre it uses is post consumer waste from Arjowiggins's Greenfield mill in France.

Some 20% to 30% of the waste recycled at the mill is from the UK, and EBB said this has a genuine impact on UK landfill.

Chris Sandwell, EBB sales and marketing director, said the end product has "great press runnability and a superb printed result".

He added: "The addition of 15% recycled fibre makes MCS the lowest carbon-produced mid-range coated paper on the market."

Sandwell added that MCS is now a greener product, and has a differentiating quality over most other mid-range coated grades.

EBB has the back up of 9,000 tonnes of sheet stock along with CutStar reels, all available for express delivery.
