Duplo marks opening of new HQ with open house

Manufacturer Duplo is to hold a three-week open house from 27 February to celebrate the launch of its new international headquarters in Addlestone, Surrey.

The manufacturer is to showcase digital print finishing technology including its new DC-745 digital cutter/creaser and the Esko Kongsberg iXE-10 digital die-cutting system.

Delegates will also be able to view its bookletmaking, binding, folding, UV-coating, laminating and digital cutting equipment and attend free, best-practice seminars which the manufacturer is holding in conjunction with pre-press specialists VPress, EFI and Esko.

Duplo UK managing director Tony Lock said: "Our range has expanded rapidly over the past three years and we now have the widest range of digital finishing available. Because of this we outgrew our headquarters and we are delighted to be able to show our full range of equipment in our new 400sqm showroom space."

Duplo’s new headquarters, which is called Automated Precision House, features 500sqm of solar panels, energy efficient lighting and heating systems along with a rain water collection system.

Lock added: "The environment plays a huge part in our industry, and, as a supplier, it is our responsibility to set an example to our customers. The name Automated Precision House not only portrays the level of innovation in our machinery, but with the environmental technology in place, the efficiency of the facility itself."
