Ahead of its preliminary results in March, Communisis confirmed that its Intelligence Driven Communications and Specialist Production and Sourcing divisions demonstrated "good momentum" in the second half of 2010.
Communisis also cited five-year contract wins and extensions with The Post Office, and Liberata as well as a contract extension with Barclays as steps to extend the company's "presence in key markets".
The trading update arrives two months after the company announced it was to cut around 80 jobs as part of a strategic review to save £4m a year.
Communisis plans to consolidate the logistics side of the business into Newcastle, with the Leicester facility expected to close by June 2011.
According to the company, its restructuring plans are on schedule to realise the expected financial benefits.
In addition, Communisis reiterated its intentions to take delivery of a second HP T300 web press, which will commence production at its Leeds site in the second quarter of this year.
