Colourgen to show new Mutoh range at Sign & Digital

Colourgen will unveil an expanded portfolio of Mutoh wide format print and cutting solutions at Sign and Digital UK 2013.

The Maidenhead-based distributor will also showcase what are claimed to be the world’s first solvent based fluorescent inks.

The new portfolio includes the 42" entry level Mutoh DrafStation RJ-900X, costing £4,495. According to the distributor the printer is suited to everyday sublimation printing and is ideal for start-ups and established businesses wanting to extend their product portfolios.

The Mutoh ValueCut Series will also be unveiled. This new range of high performance cutters for professional sign cutting applications is available in three widths – ValueCut 600, ValueCut 1300 and ValueCut 1800, costing from £1,895.

And the Mutoh ValueJet 2638 is a new 2.6m ValueJet for high quality production work, costing £36,495. It features a staggered dual head set-up with the latest generation 1440 nozzle piezo head technology and achieves a top speed of 48sqm/h and a standard production speed of 36sqm/h.

Colourgen will also demonstrate the Seiko ColorPainter W-64S running neon inks. According to Seiko I Infotech, this inkset is a world first and could be of particular interest to print providers that specialise in signs and graphics for pubs, bars and nightclubs. The machine costs £13,276, and Colourgen will have a blacklit viewing box at the show to demonstrate the full effect of the neon inks.

Melanie Enser, product marketing manager for Colourgen said all products were available immediately and that deals would be available at the show.

"Mutoh printers continue to be the leading choice for the wide format specialty market because of their superior image quality and reliability, which becomes especially critical during peak periods," she said.

"With the improved performance of Mutoh’s new solutions, our customers will be able to handle growing print volumes and reach untapped new markets."

All of the portfolio will be displayed at the show from 30 April to 2 May in Birmingham.
