The office will work in collaboration with Graphics Arts Technology & Education (GATE) in India.
According to Prof Dr Arved Hübler, director of PMTUC and initiator of the India activities, "the office shall be a contact point for students from India and Germany."
Kiran Prayagi, head of PM-India and GATE is enthusiastic about the venture.
PMTUC has a co-operation with Manipal University, as well as a double degree master's programme and a scholarship programme for the exchange of German and Indian bachelor students. Additionally, a bilateral research project on standardised planning concepts for Indian newspaper printing houses was completed.
PMTUC focusses on printing technologies, colour and documents, and printed electronics.
