Boss Cards targets artistic greetings cards market with new venture

London-based printer Boss Print is targeting the creative and artistic area of the greetings cards market with its new personalised print offering.

Boss Cards, which is the culmination of nearly three years production, fine-tuning and market assessment allows customers to choose from a range of artists and designs.

The Acton-based business is actively growing its design database and offers visitors the chance to browse the card available from each artist on its system.

The cards are produced on the company's HP Indigo 5500 digital colour press on a range of stocks and are finished in-house.

The A5 format greetings cards cost £2.99 plus additional postage fees, which means pricing is on a par with the sector leader Monnpig.

According to Fenton Smith, director at Boss Print, there are still gaps in the personalised cards market.

"We are truly focusing on the more creative and artistic elements of the personalised greetings cards market. Some other companies place the emphasis on the bespoke message but for us, we consider the card a vehicle for the piece of art," he said.
