The new installations mark a century (100) of UV and aqueous coating machine across the Fine Coat product portfolio – Fine Coat 80, 65 and 50 models. Among these, 25 machines have been installed in the northern part of India alone.
Sachin Kala, manager, marketing, Autoprint Machinery said: "There is a gradual shift to value added applications like UV and aqueous coating. UV coating is now a mandatory norm among the pharama sector for almost all kinds of jobs. In this relevance, flexo coater is the only solution that can meet all the coating requirements of the pharmaceutical industry for their mono-cartons and labels. The Fine Coat 80 suits well for precision coating requirements of large-format printers and packaging units."
The Fine Coat 80 can perform full and spot (UV and aqueous) coating on thin and thick papers in the range of 60-450gsm at a speed of maximum 5,000 sheets per hour. The coating machine can handle a minimum sheet size of 10x12 inch to a maximum of 22x32 inch.
"Autoprint has created a niche for itself within a short span of two and half years of entry into flexo coating market with this Fine Coat range," added Kala.
Autoprint had conducted a seminar in the packaging hub of Baddi, Barotiwala and Nalagarh in June 2010 along with its dealer for North India, Popli Graphics. "Our aim was to create awareness on the UV requirements for various applications in the packaging and commercial printing process. The response has been rewarding," said Saneev Popli, owner of Popli Graphics.
