APP interactive webcast to be held tomorrow

Asia Pulp and Paper (APP) is set to host a live interactive Q&A webcast held by ProPrint, PrintWeek's Australian sister title, tomorrow morning (12 November).

Aida Greenbury, APP director of sustainability and stakeholder engagement, will respond to questions from Steve Crowe, editor of ProPrint.

Greenbury said the decision was based on the company's "ongoing effort to update and engage stakeholders on the sustainability of our operations, and to provide a transparent opportunity for them to ask questions and address concerns".

She said: "The more access customers have to what's really happening at APP, the fewer the misunderstandings."

APP has faced criticism over its environmental impact for a number of years, although it has repeatedly denied criticism, and recently a number of its sites have become certified with Lembaga Ekolabel Indonesia (LEI) Chain of Custody and PEFC.

The webcast is a live online seminar that will be streamed over the internet on 12 November.

It can be viewed in Sydney at 7pm AEDT, London at 8am, and Hong Kong and Singapore at 4pm.

A cross-section of people from the industry have been invited to each location.

Registered users will have the opportunity to submit questions during the live webcast. The webcast will then be made available for on-demand replay 24 hours after the event.
