Acorn Web Offset prints new monthly country lifestyle magazine

Acorn Web Offset has secured the print contract for a new free-monthly magazine focusing on country lifestyle.

The West Yorkshire printer is producing Coast and Country Living, which focuses on 'leisure and pleasure', covering the North Wales, mid Wales, Chester and Cheshire regions.

The text of the 100pp title was printed on the firm's four-colour 16pp Man Roland Rotoman N press using 80gsm Double Blade Mechanical Coated Gloss stock.

Acorn Web Offset printed the cover of the magazine on its Heidelberg Speedmaster 102v using 150gsm Woodfree Gloss.

The title was perfect bound in-house on the company's Muller Martini NB2 perfect binder.

The magazine, which will go out hotels, shops, businesses, has started out with a circulation of 12,000 with an anticipated rise to 20,000 over the coming months.

Coast and Country Living Ltd publisher and advertising director Don Hale OBE told printweek.com the magazine "has had a very encouraging start".

"We're aiming for a combination of leisure, pleasure and a bit of nostalgia. We've got a good team and already had our first online subscriber, in San Francisco".

The first issue, which features Rolf Harris, a look at Shrewsbury's new theatre and a focus on the Chester Food and Drink Festival, launches today (17 March).
