The 11th annual Power of Print event, which seeks to foreground the effectiveness of physical media, is set to the be the biggest yet with getting on for 700 delegates signed up.

Places are filling up fast for the eleventh annual Power of Print conference, which for the second year running will be virtually celebrating the effectiveness of physical media.

Hosted by not-for-profit industry organisation Two Sides and the BPIF, and supported by Canon, Fedrigoni and Printweek, the free online event will focus on the opportunities and challenges brought by the pandemic and what the future holds for the print, publishing and paper-based packaging industries.

Two Sides managing director Jonathan Tame describes the virtual conference, which is split into two two-hour sessions, as “a must attend event for business owners, and those in strategic business development, to understand the role, opportunities and future for physical print in the media-mix in our ever increasing digital world.”

While, as ever, sustainability will be one of the focuses of the event, Tame said the fact the virtual event is being broadcast during the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP 26 is pure happenchance, as its main goal is to detail the opportunities in print and inspire delegates to better promote print’s effectiveness and impact, not just its sustainability credentials.

“Because we as an industry should be more confident in the future for physical print and the growth opportunities for paper packaging,” he says.

“And besides, the European paper industry is already a world leader when it comes to sustainably sourced raw materials, renewable energy and recycling rates.”

During the two Zoom sessions, experts from across a variety of sectors will examine the impact of the past 18 months and what the coming months and years may look like for all print-related businesses, with a focus on the effectiveness and ROI of print and the sustainability of paper and paper packaging.

Registration is free and still open at www.powerofprint.info, But Tame stressed that with places currently limited to 1,000 delegates should sign up soon.

“We’ve got some truly inspiring speakers lined up and, after the past 18 months, I think we could all benefit from a little inspiration, so don’t miss out.”
