Museums, gardens and [hopefully] more

Dear reader, I need your help.

Someone sent me a note yesterday pointing out that the Open Squares garden scheme this weekend includes some print-related shrubbery in West London. To wit: those of Kelmscott Press founders William Morris and Emery Walker in Hammersmith, and the nearby Hogarth's House.

This made me think of other potential print-related leisure activities and upon checking out the Amberley House Museum's website I discovered that it's their Printing Weekend this very weekend, argh!

I realise this information is coming a bit late in the day, but hopefully it's still useful for anyone at a loose end and within striking distance.

But it did make me think it would be fun and possibly even useful to compile a list of such pleasures across the country and indeed beyond - having seen the exhibits of the Gutenberg Museum in Mainz and Printing Arts Museum of Leipzig at drupa I would love to visit both.

There's a Plantin Museum in Antwerp. And closer to home the John Jarrold Printing Museum in Norwich.

What other print-related leisure pursuits does the printiverse recommend as a way to keep out of the wind and rain this summer?
