The Print Centre Cardiff opens print centre at Cardiff University

The Print Centre Cardiff has moved into the student print market after it opened a specialist print centre in Cardiff University's Students' Union building.

It is the first specialist print business to be situated within the Student Union, and it will offer a range of services to the university's 27,000 students, including quick turnaround digital, large format printing and binding services for dissertations.

The Print Centre will work in conjunction with the existing company which is situated in central Cardiff and boasts clients such as John Lewis.

Managing director Alison Williams said the business secured a five-year deal with the university.

She said: "We were looking for a new market, and for a long time now we have had a huge number of students who choose to use us because we offer reasonably priced, top quality print services with a quick turnaround.

"Opening the centre in the Students' Union building was the next logical step for us."

She added that having the opportunity to be on site will increase business opportunities and will make the company's services more accessible to the student market.

Following the set up of The Print Centre, the business now plans to double its turnover within the next two years. It has seven staff, two of which are at the site in the Student's Union, both of which are former graduates.

The Print Centre Cardiff is in its eighth year of business and is wholly-owned and run by Williams.
