Prolog meets Christmas rush as admins court buyers

Administrators at Promotional Logistics have reported a high level of interest in the business, which continues to trade while a buyer is sought.

The Mansfield and Sudbury-based firm, which trades as Prolog, went into administration at the end of last month. It provides fulfilment and contact centre services.

A spokesman for administrators Simon Chandler and Rebecca Dacre at Mazars told PrintWeek: “So far we’ve had over 70 expressions of interest in the business and the joint administrators are speaking to a number of parties with the goal of effecting a sale.”

He said the business was fully operational, and there had been no redundancies.

“The focus is on fulfilling all client obligations in the busy trading period in the run up to Christmas,” he added.

Prolog’s warehousing, distribution and fulfilment services include point-of-sale collation and kitting.

The firm employs 618 staff and made an operating loss of £970,779 on sales of £34.8m in its most recent accounts.
