Arden Dies launches apprenticeship recruitment drive

Arden Dies has kicked off its latest apprenticeship recruitment drive.

The Marple, Stockport-based business, which specialises in die and tooling manufacture for the packaging and carton industry, is looking to take on apprentices in a range of manufacturing roles.

Arden Dies manufacturing director Martin Poynter said: “We are very proud to launch our latest apprenticeship recruitment drive and provide more opportunities for young people to get a head start on their career.

“We believe in investment, especially in the people who work for us, and we’ve had some fantastic success stories through our own apprenticeship programme, providing training and employment opportunities to local people while helping us to develop a stronger workforce.”

He added: “With the current drive for more sustainable packaging we can offer a bright future and a promising career path for our new recruits.

“Apprenticeships provide a fantastic opportunity for people to gain valuable skills, experience and qualifications while still taking home a wage, so I’d encourage young people and school-leavers to seriously consider an apprenticeship with Arden.”

Current apprentice Lewis Catchpole joined the company in 2017 and has recently completed the first two years of his Level Three apprenticeship. He is now embarking on his Level Four qualification, an HNC in Mechanical Engineering.

“I’d highly recommend an apprenticeship with Arden Dies. It’s provided me with the training, skills and support I need to succeed in my career, and I’m earning at the same time,” said Catchpole.

“For anyone thinking of going down the apprenticeship route I’d say go for it – it’s given me the best start to my career.”

All Arden apprentices will work towards gaining a Level Three apprenticeship in the first instance and will receive hands-on experience as well as classroom-based training programmes to meet the requirements of the apprenticeship.

Founded in 1964, Arden Dies is part of the Arden Group of companies, which also includes Arden Engraving and Arden Software.
