Spandex claims new vinyls add punch to print

Spandex claims to have reached a "genuine milestone in printable polymerics" with two new gloss white vinyls in its ImagePerfect range that promise "never-before-seen levels of colour gamut that will astound customers".

The key to the improved colour gamut is a change in the surface of the vinyls which means that, for a given thickness of ink a higher density is produced, and it can also take a higher ink weight, further increasing the printable density. The company claims this offers a two-fold improvement in performance.

IP 2503 Plus White Gloss Polymeric Vinyl uses a permanent solvent-based adhesive for indoor and outdoor marking and graphics use.

IP 2503 PA plus White Gloss Polymeric Vinyl also includes Spandex' PerfectApply bubble-free technology to simplify application. This uses an embossed pattern on the release liner to prevent bubbles and wrinkles forming.
