Spandex launches new PVC-free ImagePerfect media

Spandex has unveiled the latest additions to its ImagePerfect range of media with a new range of green materials 100% free of PVC.

The new substrates have been designed for large-format digital print applications and can be used with both solvent, eco-solvent and UV-cured inks.

Made of polyolefin, the latest ImagePerfect range is free of chlorine and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor signage uses including exhibition displays, showroom signage and billboards.

Boosting the media's environmental credentials, they do not release dioxin upon disposal.

Stock included in the new portfolio includes the IP 2120 Frontlit Banner, a coated material that can be seam-welded while offering a wide colour gamut. IP2413 is a multi-purpose media that is both tear-resistant and scratch-proof.

IP 2830-103 is an eco-laminate gloss, which is a water-based adhesive system while IP2522 Eco-Digital White gloss polyolefin and IP2523 Eco-Digital Clear gloss polyolefin complete the range.

Roland Keller, executive product director of Spandex, said: "These non-PVC, environmentally-friendly ImagePerfect materials allow for the creation of digital output that is more environmentally friendly than would be the case with standard vinyl options."
