Ricoh Fantasy Football November winner announced as England miss out on World Cup

The nation is in mourning this morning after missing out on hosting the World Cup in 2018; however one man who won't care is Storey Evans' foreman Matthew Walton who is this month's Ricoh Fantasy Football league winner.

Picking up 263 points, possibly gained after collusion with a Qatari Fantasy Football team, Walton's Ghost of SE Past was driven on by captain Marouane Chamakh of Arsenal and bargain goalkeeper Al Habsi of Wigan.

He has also made use of Bolton's shock foray into the Champions League places, padding out of his squad with a few of the club's stars.

Away from Fantasy Football of course all the talk is of English football reaching a new low, being knocked out of a second World Cup in one year - even Scotland haven't managed that one.

It is bad enough that Eastern Europe is beating our printers to work, but to take away a tournament that an entire generation thought was a god given right to be ours is just too much.

The Fantasy Football winner for each month wins two tickets to a Coventry City game, the chance to play at the Ricoh Arena at the end of the season and a one-month advertising campaign on printweek.com for their company.
