Mutoh scoops best wide-format printer award

Mutoh has triumphed at the latest European Digital Press Association Awards winning 'Best wide-format printer of the year 2008' in the category of printing engines up to 2.5m wide.

The press manufacturer was recognised for its Blizzard series of wide-format piezo inkjet printers, with the judging panel citing the machine's image quality, high speed and high production capabilities.

The Blizzard range, which can output on to various substrates, is pitched at small sign businesses as well as larger operations wanting to increase capacity.

The presses are available in two configurations, 65in and 90in widths, and offer top printing speeds of up to 80sqm an hour.

Managing director of Mutoh Europe, Arthur Vanhoutte, said: "We are delighted with the recognition for our Blizzard enhanced throughput printer series."
