Barbieri launches textile colour tool

Barbieri has launched a spectrophotometer optimised for measuring the colour of fabrics aimed at the burgeoning digital textiles market.

The Spectro LFP Tex uses a special carrier to ensure the samples are held accurately in place during measurement and a wide reading aperture to ensure accurate and consistent results.

In the basic model, which costs €4,600 (£4,027), it is possible to read thin reflective media up to 2mm thick. As an option it can be upgraded to handle substrates up to 20mm thick, to take both reflective and transmissive media and to use a choice of a wide 8mm measuring aperture or the standard 2mm aperture.

Although it is based on the firm's Spectro LFP product it is not possible to upgrade the Spectro LFP to the Tex version.
