Technoprint was founded in 1988 by two local businessmen, originally as a small commercial printer. In 1997 the firm relocated to its current site in Winsford and in 2009, Alan Ryan became the sole owner of the business. Technoprint specialises in pharma information leaflets and provides bespoke solutions to resolve issues faced by its customers, delivering efficiency gains and cost reductions.

What does your firm do? 

We are the UK’s largest independent supplier of information leaflets to the pharmaceutical industry. We print information leaflets or booklets you receive in any medication. Supplying the pharmaceutical sector means we have to comply with strict standards. We are accredited to ISO9001:2015 and PS9000:2016 which is specific to pharmaceutical packaging

What’s your USP? 

Our specialist accreditations. We also print onto extremely lightweight paper (as little as 40gsm) and we have the capability to produce complicated and miniature (18mm) folding patterns. Many of our machines have been re-engineered to supply bespoke solutions for our customers

To provide high-quality patient information leaflets with a world class customer service, by using our knowledge and significant experience to offer our partners technical guidance, industry leading solutions and innovations

What equipment do you run? 

We are very secretive about the equipment we use, but we currently have three printing presses and five folding machines with a host of ancillary equipment that is needed for our speciality products

What’s been your proudest achievement in the past few years? 

Being recognised for all the hard work we have put into the business with several business awards 

Where do you see your business in five years’ time?

We have a five-year strategic plan and a five-year people plan which will support our plans to double our current sales. We have plans to extend our premises in Q4 this year and for new equipment in Q1 next year. We plan to increase sales in our current markets as well as make in-roads into several new potential markets that we have identified
