Clinical Print Finishers celebrates its 45th anniversary this month. “Our company began in 1975 and was founded by Alvin Brown  after he was made redundant from a local printer.

The start-up was funded by a loan from  Alvin’s late father John who lent him £375 for the company to buy its first folding machine,” says managing director Jamie Court

Where are you based?

Clinical Print Finishers is in Leicester – we  have occupied four sites over this period

How many staff do you have?

We currently employ 38 “characters” as we call staff, with many having over 20 years’ service to the business

What does your firm do?

The services we offer are mainly for the miniature format markets in the areas of folding, stitched and glued booklets, die-cutting, Z-fold cards, greetings cards, pharmaceutical inserts and outserts, pick-and-place mailers and tabbing

Printers, print management and packaging companies servicing the general, promotional, pharmaceutical and cosmetic markets

Which areas do you serve?

Mainly the UK and Ireland

We have more than 45 folding, stitching and gluing machines including four custom-built Z-fold card lines
