Sylvamo has launched a certified climate neutral paper, HP Earth First, which comes in reams with 100% recyclable paper wrapping.

According to the paper manufacturer, like all HP Papers products, Earth First offers “quality, reliability and value that's perfect for day-to-day office printing needs”.

Sylvamo works with leading corporate offsetting specialist Climate Partner to support certified carbon offset projects to ensure the project has a measurable impact on reducing worldwide carbon emissions.

During the past 12 months alone, the partnership to make HP Earth First climate neutral has offset 143 tonnes of carbon.

The FSC and EU Ecolabel certified grade features ColorLok technology and is available in 80gsm, A4 sheets that offer a CIE whiteness of 161.

“We manufacture HP Papers in the most sustainable and responsible ways, using renewable and recyclable raw materials from nature to ensure healthy and productive forest eco-systems,” said Gerald Demets, Sylvamo’s commercial director, Uncoated Wood-free Paper and Pulp, Europe.

“Sustainability is one of our core values and we’re committed to continuous improvement. HP Earth First is climate neutral because we want to go beyond conventional sustainable business practices and neutralise our climate footprint entirely."

Sylvamo’s partnership with Climate Partner supports a range of certified carbon offset projects including afforestation and wind energy initiatives. More information about the project can be found on Climate Partner's website or by scanning the QR code on the back of HP Earth First reams.
