The S20 works at 250m² per hour and handles edge-to-edge printing on media sized up to 3.12x1.6m and 50mm thick. Inca Digital managing director Bill Baxter explained: The Onset is an ideal printer for customers with high productivity.
However, most customers don’t need to produce 600m² per hour. He said the S20 is aimed at companies that like the features of the Onset but that sell less output and want a lower price point.
The machine uses the same Spectra S-class printheads found in the Onset but these have been arranged individually in print bars across the full bed width using 26 heads per colour.
It has the capability to control each individual printhead.
