On stand (27-B30) are Zund’s S3 and G3 flatbed cutting machines, the latter equipped with a Robot PortaBase 175 to load and pick boards in tandem production.
Rather than bring a lineup of only its highest-spec equipment, Zünd wanted to show Fespa visitors how its kit could make a difference even in smaller organisations.
“In the past we have been all-singing, all-dancing, with everything [at top specification at Fespa],” said Aleksandar Lazi´c, global market manager for sign and packaging.
“But this year we decided to bring an entry-level machine [the S3], and on the other side the fully automated system.”
Printers’ focus on automation this year has been particularly rewarding, Lazi´c added.
“Finally our time has come. We’ve been investing in, and preaching about, automation for years. Now that point is here, we can take advantage of it.”
