New transparent PET film: suitable for both short-term graphics and permanent displays

Neschen has added a transparent film to its easy dot PVC-free film range.

Easy dot PET transparent L-UV joins its white stablemate, which has been available since last year.

Neschen described the new film as having “crystal-clear transparency” on unprinted areas.

The German manufacturer said it was suitable for both short-term graphics and permanent displays.

It can also be used with a special white backing film if required, which “serves as a laminate” and completely replaces the need to add a white overprint.

“This saves ink, time and money,” Neschen stated.

The film has EN 13501 fire safety certification, and is available in 137.2cm wide rolls in lengths of 10 or 50 metres. It uses Neschen's easy dot adhesive technology for "easy and bubble-free bonding", and can be removed without leaving a residue.

Other key qualities highlighted included its dimensionally stability and suitability for kiss-cutting, and easy dot PET is also HP certified for use with latex and UV inks.

Neschen claimed that using the film could result in material savings of around 25% compared with PVC products “significantly reducing waste volumes”.
