Microtec shows upgraded N4060 UV printer at Fespa

Microtec is showing its upgraded Apex N4060 UV direct-to-object printer at Fespa.

The Chinese manufacturer’s printer now features a waste ink suction function and an extra UV lamp for curing varnish.

Using a single Epson DX5 printhead, the €12,000 (£10,500) machine can print directly onto materials including metal, plastic, glass, wood, ceramics, acrylic and leather up to 600x400mm and 140mm deep.

It is capable of resolutions up to 720dpi and finished products are water-, UV- and scratch-proof. Ink colours are CMYK plus four white channels or CMYK plus double white and double varnish.

Microtec general manager David Chao said: “This machine is suitable for printing very accurately, or for if you want to print a really good picture.”

Microtec is exhibiting on stand 4.1-C79 at Messe Berlin until Friday (18 May).
