Landa Digital Printing has unveiled plans to open a new ink factory to supply its North American customer base, expected to open in the second half of 2024.

The new plant will manufacture the company’s water-based NanoInk inks, required for its proprietary ‘nanographic printing’ process.

It will join Landa’s existing plants in Israel and the Netherlands, with focus on providing enough capacity to supply the North American continent in accordance with the firm’s expansion plans, according to Landa.

Gil Oron, the company’s CEO, said: “Landa places strategic importance in our North American customer base.

“We are growing in the region rapidly and the new plant will help match the demand we are seeing. The plant will supply our customers with NanoInk, the key to producing Landa’s stunning images with digital flexibility and the quickest turnaround times.”

The new plant will be built in the Midwestern US, with production set for late 2024. Fully operated by Landa, it is positioned to produce for US, Mexican, and Canadian print companies, which are an expanding market for the firm.

Landa recently installed a second B1 S10P single-sided press at Bluetree Group's Route 1 Print and Kingsbury Press subsidiaries.
