Hybrid Services will display three new Mimaki printers for the first time at February’s Sign & Digital UK event in Birmingham.

Mimaki’s brand-new 1.6m-wide UV LED printer, the UCJV330-160, unveiled by the manufacturer at its October Global Innovation Days event, will be on display for the first time, alongside the UJV100-160Plus roll-to-roll inkjet and TxF300-75 direct-to-film (DTF) printers.

It will be the first trade show appearance for all three engines, with the show - from 25 to 27 February at the NEC - acting as the official launch to the UKI market for the TxF300-75.

Andrew Gregory, Hybrid’s sales director, told Printweek: “As ever, Hybrid’s stand at Sign & Digital UK will present only a slice of Mimaki’s diverse product range.

“The new launches at the show demonstrate the company’s commitment to delivering ‘something new, something different,’ and provide answers to some of the most common questions we’re asked, such as: how do I reduce my running costs, how do I reduce downtime in my DTF printing workflow, and how can I offer more creative and profitable products to my customers?”

The UCJV330 is a direct successor to Mimaki’s UCJV300, fitted with a new generation of printheads and achieving speeds up to 40% faster at high quality, while adding new special printing effects like watermarks.

The UJV100Plus and Tx300-75 are likewise upgraded versions of the UJV100 and TxF150-75 machines.

While the UCJV330-160 will be on display, it will not be commercially available until later in 2024, according to Hybrid – so has not yet received a pricetag.

The UJV100-160Plus, on sale in advance of its show debut, has a launch offer of a £1,500 trade-in, against its list price of £16,995, taking the price down to £15,495.

The TxF300-75 will cost £16,995 with a two-year warranty.

Gregory added: “Mimaki solutions such as the two new UV printers offer significant benefits to companies considering investment in the latest wide-format technology.

“With their class-leading energy efficiency, they offer low running costs, incorporate onboard tech that reduces waste and ink use, and deliver easy-to-use, yet highly creative capabilities to our customers.

“We’re excited to be able to offer products that offer such tangible benefits on so many levels.”

Hybrid is Mimaki’s sole UK distributor, supplying the wide-format printers both directly to printers and through a network of resellers.
