CMYUK adds HP kit to portfolio

Wide-format kit reseller CMYUK is set to offer HP’s full range of latex and flatbed printers as it continues to expand its product offering for the UK sign and digital market.

Effective from next Tuesday (1 August), Berkshire-headquartered CMYUK will sell and support the full range of HP Latex printers and large-format flatbeds. The move comes four months after the company – also a reseller of EFI and Mimaki equipment – added Esko hardware and software products to its portfolio.

The firm’s HP range will include the Latex 315 and 335 print and cut machines and the Latex 365, 560, 570, 1500, 3200 and 3600 printers as well as the Scitex FB550 and FB750 flatbeds.

CMYUK group director Robin East said: “Since the launch of HP Latex technology in 2009, HP’s constant innovation and development have led to it becoming the preferred solution for many applications.

“We are very excited to be demonstrating Latex as a perfect solution for producing premium finishes with many of our soft textile, décor and design materials from our extensive range.”

He added: “At our Shrewsbury showroom, we will integrate the HP Latex portfolio and clearly demonstrate the benefits to customers. Dates for product open days and product training will be announced in early August.”

HP UK and Ireland country manager for large-format printing solutions Phil Oakley said the manufacturer has chosen to partner with CMYUK for three key reasons.

“Their knowledge of the industrial inkjet market and sales coverage is excellent and they have experienced applications specialists in place to advise current and potential customers on the versatile range of applications our printers can be used for.

“And finally, with their state-of-the-art demonstration facility, they are able to showcase the entire printing process, from workflow software and RIPs through to printing and finishing.”

CMYUK has recently partnered with Paragon Bank to form a new finance initiative for the sign industry, Consumable Supported Asset Finance (CSAF).

The scheme is targeted at SME customers, who can finance kit priced between £10,000 to £500,000 from CMYUK – including the HP Latex and Scitex machines – using CSAF, with the monthly loan repayments partially funded by transferring consumables purchases to CMYUK.

The monthly amount contributed by CMYUK varies depending on the volume of consumables purchased at the pre-agreed rate, which is price matched against the customer's previous supplier.
