Agfa’s new Jetis take centre stage

Agfa’s (6-S60) new flatbed and roll-to-roll wide-format UV inkjet printers, the Jeti Mira and Jeti Tauro, have had their European debuts in Hall 6.

The Jeti Tauro is a 2.5m-wide hybrid flatbed and roll-to-roll UV inkjet printer, while the 2.7m-wide Jeti Mira is billed as a “true flatbed” although it is available with a dockable roll-to-roll option to enable printing on flexible media.

Both devices are equipped with Ricoh’s 7pl Gen 5 printheads and come in a standard six-colour configuration with optional white, varnish or primer on the Mira, and optional white, double white or white and primer on the Tauro.

The 295m2/hr Jeti Tauro H2500 can handle flexible media up to 2.5m wide and 3.2mm thick and rigid media up to 2.5m wide by 4m length in thicknesses up to 50mm.

The Jeti Mira can handle rigid media up to 2.7m wide by 1.6m or 3.2m length, in thicknesses up to 50mm, and features a moving-gantry architecture and six vacuum zone bed.
