Brighton-based digital and litho printer XPS has relocated two Xerox DocuColor 2045 machines in a bid to increase efficiency.
The machines were moved in May to XPS sister firm XPS.Colour, located to the west of the city centre. XPS.Colour will offer litho and digital print work in both monochrome and colour, and XPS in the east of the city will concentrate on monochrome digital work.
Greg Roach, managing director of XPS.Colour, said he expected "sustained growth" of the company in the future, with the creation of new jobs a possibility.
"Its a consolidation of our services rather than having two split services on different sites. In effect, for our customer there is less machine downtime and a more efficient service," he said.
XPS managing director Graham Nicholas said it was rare to have more than one colour digital machine on a single site. "I dont know of any other digital printer with comparable facilities," he said.
XPS.Colour has three Heidelberg litho presses and two Hewlett-Packard large-format printers alongside the two Xerox machines.
