The A4 magazine, printed by Polestar Varnicoat, is usually saddle-stitched and has an average pagination of 60pp.
A spokeswoman for the paper said that special bumper perfect-bound issues are published two or three times each year.
The Financial Times beefed up its luxury lifestyle supplement for high earners, How to Spend It, printed by New Jarrold Printing, to 96pp from the usual 72pp to celebrate its 10th anniversary edition.
The Guardian also boosted pagination of its 16-year-old Weekend magazine, printed by Polestar Purnell, to 128pp, compared to the usual 100pp.
