Vio turns focus towards digital ads and the US

Vio is focusing its efforts on digital advertising delivery and hopes to crack the US market this year.

Chairman Richard Horwood, currently based in the US, plans to overtake Europe, which itself has doubled revenue in the past six months, by September.

The firm is planning to grow its business from its current market with publishers into advertising agencies with Vio Integrated Solutions, the division formed from last year's acquisition of Portland (PrintWeek, 15 September).

"We want to go further upstream to the creatives and their internal workflows," said sales director Stuart Spiers.

The firm is offering template-based ad composition and asset management to handle the elements used in the templates among its products. It is also targeting retail and corporate clients.
