Vio has become the first firm to offer digital services to the graphic arts using ADSL.
"Vio ADSL will give our ISDN customers some of the benefits of a dedicated leased line at very competitive rates," said product marketing manager Jon Bracken.
"We are confident that this new technology will replace the use of ISDN for point-to-point transfer."
The firm sees ADSL as a replacement for ISDN2 and ISDN4 systems. It claims ADSL is of particular interest to sites that primarily receive rather than send large amounts of data, such as printers.
Three maximum data-receiving speeds are available 500Kbit/s, 1Mbit/s and 2Mbits/s and all can send up to 250Kbits/s. Prices start from 175 per month.
