Victoria snaps up a six-colour MAN from MoD

Hayes-based Victoria Litho has installed a former Ministry of Defence six-colour MAN Roland 800.

The firm specialises in the production of maps and large-format work. The latest press is in addition to a four-colour MAN Roland Ultra and a five-colour Roland 800. The recent addition was commissioned last week.

"We are very excited about this acquisition as it will double our capacity in the large-format market," said Victoria Litho managing director David Wilson. "A company of our size could not justify buying a brand new 2.5m press, but with this machine coming online it will make us even more competitive with the large size poster printers."

Victoria Litho employs 18 staff and has a sister repro and plate making company, Spinfield. The division is set to install an Agfa Sublima and a second Grand Sherpa digital proofer.
