The Yorkshire-based family firm will initially produce 1,100 of the high-tech units, which feature a mix of computer technology and printed areas.
James Haggas, Valley sales and marketing director, said that the print part of the job included two posters, eight areas describing the features of T-Mobile's service and leaflets, to be printed using the Keighley firm's Heidelberg litho presses.
He added that PoP was a profitable activity for print firms. "A million-pound deal is usually for millions of brochures, and they don't come along that often," he said.
The deal follows Valley's six-figure order from Microsoft for PoP units to promote its X-Box games console (PrintWeek, 29 January 2004).
