The cartons will be produced in-house with the group using a Tetra Pak A3 Flex filling plat-form. The equipment enables the milk to be contained in Tetra Paks Brik Aseptic product a resealable screw top 1,000ml square carton. The machinery has been installed at Milk Links Kirkcudbright factory.
We have had contracts with Tetra Pak before and the technology of the equipment means that the product has a six-month unopened shelf life, said a Milk Link spokeswoman.
Moo is available in skimmed, semi-skimmed and whole milk UHT. Milk Link is owned by 2,400 farmers and is the UKs fourth largest integrated dairy business.
Moo is the groups first branded product.
