TCS claims new trimmer will triple book production volume

Terry Cooper Services (TCS) has launched a three-knife trimmer that it claims can triple a customer's production volume, making it ideal for the "on-demand print environment".

The CMT330 Challenge machine is available as an in-line or near-line system and comes with a multi-book option, which allows the user to trim up to three books at a time and finish 900 soft cover or perfect-bound books in an hour.

According to the finishing equipment distributor, it can produce books up to 50mm thick, includes a 99 job memory facility and a delivery section measuring 920mm, allowing books to be stacked on their spine.

Chris Cooper, managing director at TCS, said: "We strive to be able to meet the needs of our clients, and the current market trends lean towards more versatility within the in-house print businesses. This great quality product is ideal for most business sizes and their budgets."
