UK divisional director for publication papers Fabian Langenskild said the new NovaPress would now be produced at two of the manufacturers mills, at Kabel in Germany and Veitsiluoto in Finland.
Production of the improved NovaPress would commence at both mills in mid-April, with the potential for 500,000 tonnes of capacity.
Langenskild said improvements to the grade had been made in the areas of optical values, especially brightness, gloss and smoothness.
NovaPress is an MWC paper that forms part of Stora Ensos Press Selection range.
