Indigo has confirmed that St Ives Smiths Colour Printers plant has recently purchased a TurboStream six and an ink mixing unit, both of which are being installed at its Bradford site.
The purchase of the six-colour unit and the ink mixing station will provide greater print flexibility.
Obviously we are delighted that they have chosen to be an Indigo customer, and this marks a very significant equipment purchase for the company, claimed Indigo UK marketing director, Richard Davies.
Davies said that the
addition of the separate mixing unit would allow
St Ives to mix its own Pantone colours, which will enable customers corporate colours to be reproduced exactly.
St Ives said in October last year upon publication of its annual results that it was looking to install a digital press at one of its Bradford sites, and mooted that it would opt for either an Indigo or Xeikon machine (PrintWeek, 13 October 2000).
We hope that St Ives will continue to be an Indigo customer for the long-term foreseeable future, said Davies.
