"Putting the two [products] together has not been rocket science," said Speedquote managing director Terence Livingstone.

Touch Systems' core MIS package, Clarity Professional, is geared towards small to medium-sized companies. By working with Speedquote, the firm has been able to add instant online quote generation to its package.

"From our point of view, it is a simple plug-in to fit the two together," said Livingstone.

Clarity already offers contact management and estimating modules, as well as the ability to process delivery notes and invoices.

It also features production scheduling and a link to the Sage accounting system.
