The first fruits of the deal, the largest in the St Ives-owned firm’s history, were on display last weekend at the inaugural community day event for residents local to the rebuilt Wembley.
Service Graphics’ deal with the FA will last for two years and encompasses all graphics and related sponsor signage within the venue. According to Service Graphics director Ben Moss, the contract is likely to net revenues of £1m in the first year and £2.5m in year two.
“This is the largest sports branding contract in the UK,” said Moss. “It is like no other stadium and the way it has been designed is with the graphic displays in mind.”
There are a total of 4,500 positions for branding to be placed. Service Graphics has installed its own system at the front of Wembley, able to accommodate a 126x16m building wrap.
A total of 3,000m of branding will be used at each event, with generic Wembley signage installed for non-football days.
Service Graphics will produce the work at its Wandsworth site on a range of digital kit from Inca, Vutek and Nur.
As well as the FA Cup final, Service Graphics will provide signage and branding for the Community Shield in August, all England matches and the League Cup Final next year.
Separately, Service Graphics has clinched a deal with Delaware North as the preferred supplier for events and exhibitions at the venue.
• Haymarket Network, a division of PrintWeek’s publisher Haymarket Media, published the programme for last week’s community day – a 68pp publication. It will also produce the programmes for the England v Italy Under-21 match on 24 March. Telford-based Precision Colour Printing printed both publications.
