Both products were launched this week at the Digital Imaging Marketing Association (DIMA) trade show and are targeted at the direct mail, bindery and commercial print markets. These are areas where SDP has seen particular growth in the use of colour personalisation mailings.
The Liberty 7122 is designed to print on a wide variety of substrates, including metals, UV-coated and glossy papers, films and plastics.
It is available as a complete printing system or alternatively as a printer for integration with other Scitex equipment and finishing equipment.
The Passport 4300 is designed with drop-on-demand ink-jet technology and uses solvent-based inks.
The Passport costs 33,264, while the Liberty printer is priced at 47,338 and the Liberty system is available at 53,000.
The firm saw the DIMA show as the perfect platform to launch the products.
